Shredda Rear 27.5" x 2.5" Radial Tire
The Schwalbe Shredda Rear is built for maximum traction on the most demanding terrain, combining an aggressive tread design with Schwalbe’s radial tire technology. The radial carcass increases ground contact and allows the tire to conform more precisely to the trail, delivering exceptional grip, comfort, and control when conditions get steep and loose.
Its open tread pattern features large, scooping lugs designed to dig into soft terrain, generating powerful braking traction and forward drive on climbs. Compared to the Shredda Front, the rear uses a slightly shallower tread depth with a more stable profile, improving durability and consistency under heavy loads.
While the Shredda Rear can be used across a range of setups, we’ve found it’s best suited for eMTBs and downhill bikes where maximum traction outweighs rolling efficiency. It delivers incredible grip on soft and loose surfaces, but the aggressive tread comes with a tradeoff in pedaling speed.
