Race Face went back to the lab to improve their downhill-focused Atlas handlebars. Taking what they learned from their research on the Era bars, RF is using the Goldilocks (GL) tune for the big bars. GL tune is the sweet spot for compliance preferred by most riders; stiffer was too harsh, softer was too flexible.
And, fret not, you can still dial in your preferred bar height, as these bars come in three different levels of rise (20mm, 40mm, and 55mm). The 7000-series aluminum bars come stock at 800mm and can still be trimmed down to 760mm while maintaining the benefits of the GL tune.
